二、语法突破

动词-ing形式的被动语态(thePassiveVoiceof-ingForm)

(一)动词-ing形式的被动式分____________和____________:

(not)being + -ed分词和(not)having been +-ed分词。

1.一般式:

表示这个被动的动作____________或与谓语表示的动作____________。

2.完成式:

强调这个被动的动作在谓语动词所表示的动作____________。

(二)动词-ing的被动式的句法功能

动词-ing形式的被动语态和它的主动语态一样,在句中主要作主语、宾语、定语、状语。

1.做主语。

如:

So______________(kill)bysharkswasacommonthing.

2.做宾语,用在介词后或需要带-ing形式作宾语的动词后。

如:

Georgedidn'tlike______________(keep)waiting.

Notes:

在avoid,admit,appreciate,complete,consider,delay,enjoy,escape,excuse,finish,forgive,imagine,mind,miss,practice,risk,suggest,giveup,putoff,feellike,insiston等后只接V-ing形式作宾语。

3.做表语。

如:

4.做定语。

如:

5.做状语。

1)动词-ing形式被动式主要在句子中作状语、宾语补足语和定语。

但动词-ing形式的完成被动式,一般在句中作状语(偶尔作非限定定语),不作其它成分。

Theydon’tlikethedesignofthenewbridgebeingbuilt.(正在建造的桥的设计)

Nothavingbeencompleted,themuseumcan’tbevisitedyet.(由于没有完工……)

2)V-ing形式的被动式逻辑主语(即动作的承受者)如果也是主句的主语,就不需要出示出来,但是如果逻辑主语不是主句的主语,就得把V-ing形式自己的主语表示出来。

如:

Thewholeclassroomhavingbeencleaned,thestudentswenthomehappily.
