   Thus,in2014,hestartedtheshelter.IttookalongtimeforMahendratofindlandwherethesheltercouldbesetup.Finally,RameshBhaiPatel,afarmerfromavillagenamedJundal,agreedtogivehislandfornothing.Alongwithateamoffourdoctorsandmanyvolunteers,theshelternowhastwenty­fivedogsthatwereunabletowalkatallwhentheywerebroughtin.Today,they'reslowlyhealing.
