Abstract

ThispaperwouldexplainthedifferencesbetweenChinesetraditionalfestivalsandwesterntraditionalfestivalsbyintroducingtheoriginandthecustomsofChinesetraditionalfestivalsandwesterntraditionalfestivals.Thedifferencesofthecustomsincludecelebration,diet,partyformandfavoritecolors.ItnotonlyhelpsthereaderstounderstandthedifferencesbetweenChineseandWesternculture,butalsoavoidstheconflictcausedbytheculturaldifferences.

Theprocessofthetraditionalethnicfestivalsformationisalong-termaccumulationofanation'

shistoryandculture.ThereisacloseconnectionbetweentheoriginofFestivalandpeople'

slivinghabitsallovertheworld.Ithasreflectedpeople'

sabundantinnerfeeling,andpeople'

ThroughtheoriginandcustomsofChineseandwesterntraditionalfestivals,wecanseethatthereexistobviousdifferencesbetweenChinesecultureandWesternculture.Traditionalfestivalsfollowthenaturallaw:

theorigin,theformationandthedecline.Aseverycountryhavetheirownnationalconditions,sotheiroriginandcustomsoftraditionalfestivalsalsohavegreatdifference.

Onthecontrary,theresearcheswhichforeignscholarsoftheculturaldifferencesbetweenChinesetraditionalfestivalsandwesterntraditionalfestivalsdidareless.MostoftheseresearchesjusttalkedaboutthesimpleintroductionanddiscussionofChinesetraditionalfestivalsandwesterntraditionalfestivals.Theirresearcheshavenotmentionoftheculturaldifferencesexistinfestivals.
