a.Onthetransmittingport(s),clickonthestream.Ontheright,thestreamconfigurationisavailable.Theremayormaynotbestreamsavailable.Toopenanexistingstream,doubleclickonit.Tocreateanewstream,rightclickinthewindowandchooseNewStream.
b.IntheStreamPropertieswindow,selecttheDA/SAtab.SelectARPDiscoveryfortheDestMACaddressforallL3testsunlesstheGWMACaddressisknown,inwhichcase,enterafixedaddress.
c.SelectVLAN,EthernetandIPv4asneeded.
d.SelectEditbesideIPv4.Modifydestinationaddressasneeded.(typicallytheaddressconfiguredontheotherport).ModifytheTOS/DSCPandotheroptionsasneeded.
e.Forthesourceaddress,thereare2choices,youcanenterthevalueyouconfiguredaboveinIxRouter,oryoucanselecttheFromProtocolInterfacesbutton.Inthesecondchoiceadropdownisavailablewhereyoucanpicktheaddressyouwish.
f.Optionally,youcanchoosetoemulatemultipleaddresses,(ifalreadyconfiguredinIxRouter).Incrementsanddecrementsareavailableatmultiplelevels.

6.Creatingastatisticview
a.Asinglesimultaneousviewisavailable.Tocreateit,ExpandtheGlobalViewsfieldandrightclickonStatisticViews.SelectNew.
b.Selectthetransmittingandreceivingports.
c.Thenewviewnowhasbothports.
7.CreatingperstreamstatisticviewsusingPGIDs
a.IntheStreamPropertiestab,selectPacketGroupsandTimeStampunderInstrumentation.
b.SelectEdit.ThedefaultoptionsaretypicallyOKtouse.ThethreefieldswelookatareSignatureOffset,(thelocationofthesignature).TheSignatureValue,(thehexvalueofthesignature).AnyHexvaluewillwork.TheGroupIDoffset,(thelocationofthestreamuniqueidentifier,bydefault,thestreamID).
