⏹MRPprocedure

Indicatorthatspecifiestheprocedurewithwhichthematerialisplanned

⏹FirmingTypeofthePlanningResult

Fortheplanningrun,thefirmingtypedetermineshowprocurementproposalsarefirmedandscheduledwithintheplanningtimefence.Therearethefollowingfirmingtypes:

∙0

Procurementproposalsarenotfirmedautomatically.Nofirmingtakesplacewiththisfirmingtype.

∙1

Procurementproposalswithintheplanningtimefencearefirmedautomaticallyassoonastheirdateisatleastonedaybeforetheenddateoftheplanningtimefence.Thedateofnewprocurementproposalscreatedintheplanningtimefenceismovedtotheenddateoftheplanningtimefence.Asaresult,thesenewprocurementproposalsarenotfirmed.

∙2

Procurementproposalswithintheplanningtimefencearefirmedautomaticallyassoonastheirdateisatleastonedaybeforetheenddateoftheplanningtimefence.Nonewprocurementproposalsarecreatedautomaticallywithintheplanningtimefence;thatis,theshortagesituationisnotadjustedwithintheplanningtimefence.

∙3

Procurementproposalswithintheplanningtimefencearenotfirmedautomatically.Allprocurementproposalsrequiredtocovertherequirementsaremovedtotheendoftheplanningtimefence.

∙4

Noprocurementproposalsarecreatedautomaticallywithintheplanningtimefence;thatis,theshortagesituationisnotadjustedwithintheplanningtimefence.

Dependencies

Ifyouenteramanualfirmingdate,theplanningtimefenceisextendedtothisdateautomatically.

Youcanenteramanualfirmingdateontheinitialscreenoftheplanningrunandinthestock/requirementslistinMRPandinlong-termplanning.

●Manualfirmingdate

Definition

Youcanselectanydateforthemanualfirmingdate.Ifaplanningtimefencehasbeencreatedforamaterialthenthefollowingapplies:

Ifthemanualfirmingdateliesbeforetheendoftheplanningtimefence,theplanningtimefenceisstillvalid.

Ifthemanualfirmingdateliesaftertheendoftheplanningtimefence,theplanningtimefenceisextendeduntilthisdate.

Settingthemanualfirmingdateinstructsthesystemtofirmallorderproposals（plannedorders,purchaserequisitions,schedulingplans）fortheplanningrunwithorderfinishdatesbeforethisdate,ifthematerialshaveanMRPtypewhichcontainsnofirmingtypeorfirmingtype1or2.

ThesystemdoesnotautomaticallyfirmorderproposalsformaterialsthathaveanMRPtypewithfirmingtype3or4,eveniftheirorderfinishdatesliebeforethemanualfirmingdate.

MaterialswithanMRPtypewithoutafirmingtypearetreatedasmaterialswithfirmingtype1inrelationtothemanualfirmingdate.

Use

YoucanusethemanualfirmingdateinMRPandlong-termplanning.

Dependencies

Allplannedorders,purchaserequisitionsanddeliveryschedulesinMRPthathavenotbeenfirmedareaffected.

Inlong-termplanning,onlyplannedordersthathavenotbeenfirmedareaffected.

Ifyoucopyfirmplannedordersfromlong-termplanningtooperativeplanning,thesystemproposesthemanualfirmingdateastheendoftheperiodforcopying.

⏹Indicator:

deletefirmplannedorders

Causesfirmplannedordersbeforetherollforwardperiodtobedeletedintheplanningrun,andnewplannedorderstobecreatedinaccordancewiththenewrequirementssituation（or,withthecorrespondingfirmingtype,tobemovedtotheendoftheplanningtimefence）.

Use

Inrollforwardplanning,thismakesitpossibletodefinethatthemasterproductionscheduleisupdatedinaspecificperiod.

Dependencies

TherollforwardperiodisdefinedinCustomizingforMaterialsRequirementsPlanninginDefinePlanningTimeFenceandRollForwardPeriod.

IndicatordeterminesthatmaterialswiththisMRPtypearetobeincludedinplanninginregularintervals,evenifthismaterialhasnotundergoneachangerelevanttoMRP.

⏹Forecastindicator

Indicatorthatspecifieswhethertheforecastresultsshouldbeusedinmaterialsplanning

⏹Consumptionindicatorofforecast

Sayswhichconsumptionvaluesarerelevantfortheforecast,totalconsumptionorunplannedconsumption

⏹MRPindicatorofforecast

Youusethisindicatortodefinewhetherforecastvaluesareconsideredinthenetrequirementscalculation.

Iftheyaretobeconsidered,definewhetherasa

⏹Reduceforecastrequirements

Thisindicatorcontrolshowtheforecastrequirementsaretobereduced.

Thereductionoftheforecastrequirementscanbecarriedoutinthreeways:

∙Reductionofforecastrequirementsbyconsumption

Ifconsumptionexceedstheforecastrequirementsofthecurrentmonth,thesystemwillalsoreducefutureforecastrequirements

∙Reductionofforecastrequirementsexclusivelyincurrentmonth

Ifconsumptionexceedstheforecastrequirementsofthecurrentmonth,thesystemwillonlyreducetheforecastrequirementsinthecurrentmonth.

∙Averagereductionoftheforecastrequirements

Inthiscase,thereductionoftheforecastrequirementsisbasedonaveragedailyrequirements.Actualconsumptionisnotrelevantforthisparticularsetting.

Thisindicatorcanbeusedtoidentifymaterialsthatareplannedbyanexternalsystem.TheindicatordoesnotinfluenceMRP.IfstandardMRPisnotusedtoplanmaterialswiththisMRPtype,acorrespondingMRPprocedure,forexampleN,mustbemaintained

ThekeydefineswhethertheMRPareacorrespondstoawholeplantortoastoragelocationortoasubcontractor.

Youwanttospecificallyplanthecomponentsthatarerequiredonaparticularassemblyline.YouthereforedefineanMRPareaofthestoragelocationtypeandassigntheproductionstoragelocationtoit,fromwhichyouaretakingthecomponentsthatarerequiredontheassemblyline.

∙TheMRPareaofthetypeplantcontainsawholeplant.ThesystemautomaticallycreatestheplantMRPareawhenconvertingtheplanningfileentries.

∙TheMRPareaofthetypestoragelocationcancontainoneorseveralstoragelocations.YouassignthestoragelocationtotheMRPareainthestoragelocationfield

Astoragelocationcan,however,onlybeassignedtooneMRParea.

UsingareferenceplantmeansthatinMRP,thesystemusescertaincontrolparametersthatarenotmaintainedintheplanningplant,butonlyinthereferenceplant.Thisreducestheamountofdatatobemaintainedforthefollowingparameters:
