1、Whydon’tyou……..?
是一个表示建议时常用的句型,意为“你为什么不……..呢?
”根据实际表达的需要,也可以将you改成其他人称代词。
相当于Whynot…….?
回答时不用because。

我们为什么不直接去告诉他我们的看法呢?
2、Stop表示“停止”的意思,其后用动词不定式或Ving形式作宾语都可以。
但是两者意思不同:
Stoptodo表示“停下来去做某事”;而Stopdoing表示“停止做某事”。
如果表示“停下来并用另一种方式做同一件事情”也用stoptodo结构。
如:
Westoppedworkingattea-time.我们在午后茶点时间停止了工作。
Nobodyunderstoodhim,sohestoppedtoexplaininanotherway.
没有人懂他的意思,所以他停下来用另一种方式来解释了。
