CHICAGO(Reuters)—Smokingnotonlycanwrinkle(皱纹)thefaceandturnityellow—itcandothesametothewholebody,researchersreportedonMonday.

Thestudy,publishedintheArchivesofDermatology,showsthatsmokingaffectstheskinalloverthebody-evenskinprotectedfromthesun.

Dr.Saxenaandhiscolleaguesaskedvolunteersifavoicesamplebelongedtoapersonwhoserealspeechtheyhadjustlistenedtoforabout90seconds.Thevolunteersrecognizedclonedspeechassuchonlyhalfthetime(ie,nobetterthanchance).Theoutcome,accordingtoGeorgePapcun,anexpertwitnesspaidtodetectfakerecordingsproducedasevidenceincourt,istheappearanceofatechnologywith“enormouspotentialvaluefordisinformation”.

Asmightbeexpected,countermeasurestorecognizesuchdeception(欺骗)arebeingdeveloped.
