Withmymaximumeffortshadbeenmade,Ieventuallypassedthelong-rangerunningofthePhysicalFitnessTestheldonlastFriday.Adeepimpressionwascarvedintomymindwhichprovedtobememorableandeducative.
Atthebeginningofthisterm,wewereinformedbyourPEteacherofgettingreadyforthePhysicalFitnessTestonApril12thonthefirstPEclass.NosoonerhadIheardthisnewsthanIsensedtherewasnowayIcouldpasstheexamunlessIchangedmyattitudefromnegativetopositivetothePEclassandstartedtrainingformthenon.SoIsecretlymadeapromisetomyselfwhichwasnomatterwhathappenedImustkeepexercisingandadjustmystatetothebestforthecomingexamination.
So,afterthatday,Iwouldattendeveryexerciseandtrainingclass.Andfortunately,whenIwasalmosttogiveupformythroatburnedandbreathjammed,therewouldalwayshavemyclassmatesencouragingmeandaccompanyingwithme.Istillrememberedonedayafterclass,whileIwasstrugglingtothefinaldashourmonitorandafewfriendsjoinedmeandleadmywaytotheendline.Anddozensofmyfriendsspontaneouslychosetostayandencourageforme.Atthatmoment,asenseofappreciationandgratitudefloodedeverycornerofmyheart.
Eventually,thebigdaycame.Iproducedmyeffectnormally.SothrillingwasIthatIcouldn’thelpburstingintotearswhenIdashedacrossthefinallinewithotherexamineeandknowingmyscorecouldpassedthePhysicalFitnessTest.
AftermyclassmatesandteacherknewthatIsuccessfullyovercametheexam,myfriendsallcametomeandsenttheirsincerecongratulation,andmyteacheralsoshookmyhandsinordertoexpresshisuniquecongratulation.Asurgeofachievementandastreamofwarmthflowedthroughmybody.
There’sanoldsayinggoes,nopainnogain.Indeed,withoutmydeterminedeffortsandsignificantencouragementofmyfriends,Isurelycouldn’tmakesuchsplendidachievement.Throughthisexperience,notmerelydidIgetmyselfexercisedandstrengthenmyselfbothphysicallyandmentally,butalsorealizedaprecioustruthwhichispeoplecanalwaysbeyondthemselvesiftheyspentenoughvigourindoingit.
