   TheBeatlesfirststartedbysingingAmericanstylesongs,buttheysoondevelopedtheirownstyle,withmorecomplicatedtunes.Theyalsointroduceddifferentinstruments.GroupsliketheBeatleshadaveryimportantinfluenceonthestyleofpopularmusic.

   Bytheearly1970s,rock’n’rollhaddevelopedintoanewformofmusic.Electronicshadreplacedtheamplifiedguitarsanddrumsofrock’n’roll.“Rock”hadarrived.

   So,theSaharawasnotalwaysaforbiddingdesert.Longago,dinosaursandgiantcrocodileslivedthere.Afterthedinosaursbecameextinct,giraffes,elephants,hippos,andotheranimalslivedintheSahara.Sodidpeople.

   Then,about6,000yearsago,theclimatebegantochange.Withinafewcenturies,theSaharabecamethedesertthatitistoday.Astheclimatechanged,fewerandfewerplantsgrewthere,andthepeoplehadtomovetoplaceswheretherewasmorewater.
