1、梅尔-凯瑟开车在哥伦布的一条繁忙的高速路上行驶,他看见前面有一辆装甲车和几辆汽车,突然,装甲车的门开了,一个蓝色的塑料袋从车里掉出来。
在凯瑟先生前方的一辆汽车撞到了那个袋子,袋子扯破了,钱从里面洒了出来。
接着,另一个袋子从装甲车里掉出来,然后接二连三的……钱飞得到处都是。
起初司机们都以为高速路上那绿色的小纸片是树叶子,接着他们反应过来,那些绿色的纸不是树叶而是——钱!
司机们立刻把他们的车停在了高速路中间,人们跳下车,开始捡拾那些钱。
他们把10元、20元以及100美元面值的票子塞进自己的腰包,一个男人说,“钱、钱、钱!
都是白拿的!
尽你所能的抓吧!
”
凯瑟先生也走出了他的车。
他抓起一塑料袋的钱,把袋子扔进自己车里驾车离开了。
后来凯瑟先生清点那些钱,他得到了五万七千美元。
接下来的两个小时里凯瑟先生一直在想怎么用掉它们。
他需要为他的房子买一些火炉,还想去佛罗里达度假。
但是,他决定归还这些钱。
