IwasraisedinatraditionalHindufamilyinNepal.Wehaveaconservative(保守的,谨慎的)opiniontowardsmarriage.Arrangedmarriages(包办婚姻)arecommoninwhichfamiliesdecidewhetherthetwoshouldgetmarried.Freelovemarriagesarenotallowedandareseldomseen.Same-sexmarriageisalsoconsideredimpossible.

Tome,cultureisamatterofhabit.Thecultureissodeep-rootedinpeople’smindsthatmostpeopleareagainstchanges.Itisalwayseasyforthemtodowhattheyhavebeendoingthroughouttheirlife.Itmaybedifficultforanyonetoadapttoanewculture.
