Adheringtothemottoof“Yutongforyou”,weendeavortoprovideourcustomerswithreliableproducts,respondingserviceandrewardingreturn.AsaleadingenterpriseinChina’sbusindustry,theturnoverofYutongGroupreached25.8billionRMBin2011withasalesvolumeof52,316unitsoflargeandmedium-sizedbuses,constructionmachineryandspecialvehicles,ariseof11.6percentyear-on-year,continuouslyrankedfirstintheindustryintermsoftheenterprisescaleandsalesperformance.Forbussector,Yutongdelivered46,688busesandcoachesin2011,up13.41percentthanthepreviousyear.

Atpresent,Yutonghasestablishedacomplete6m-25mproductlineupconsistingofordinary,medium-levelandhigh-levelproducts,coveringvarioussegmentmarketsincludinghighwaypassengertransit,tourism,publictransportandsoon,thusmakingitsnameasthesynonymofluxuryhigh-endbuses.

Uptonow,Yutongbuseshavebeenexportedtomanycountriesandregions,likeCuba,Russia,Iran,SaudiArabia,Hongkongandsoon.YutonghasgotWVTAcertificateofEUforwholevehiclesandbeguntoentertheEuropeanmarket.WiththeoverseasdevelopmentideaofFocusonBrand,TechnologyandAfter-saleService,eachbusmodeldeliveredtooverseasmarkethasgonethroughseveralroundsofadaptivetestsandimprovementthusnotonlyensuringthereliabilityofproductsbutalsofulfillingtheindividualrequirementsoflocalmarkets.

YutongbecamethesynonymofsafeschoolbusinChina.

Yutongmadegreatbreakthroughinnewenergyvehicleproject,becomingabusmakerwhohasthehighestsalesvolumeandlargestsalesareaofnewenergybuses.

TheconstructionofYutongfuelefficientandnewenergyvehicleproductionbasekickedoffonJuly20.2011.Theconstructionofthebasewithaninvestmentof2.4billionyuan,dubbedas“anotherYutongIndustrialPark”,hasdrawnattentionsfromdifferentsides,becomingtheR&Dandmanufacturingbaseoffuel-efficientandnewenergybuseswiththelargestinvestmentinChina.

YutonglaunchedTSMsystemonMay31,2011.TSMsystemisanintelligentoperationalsystem.Throughcollectingandanalyzingtheoperationaldataofvehicles,itcanmonitorandstandardizetherunningstatusofvehicles,thusdecreasingthefuelconsumption,trafficriskandfailurerate.

EnvironmentalProblems

Thetypicaldieselengineonthebuscausesnoticeablelevelsofairpollution,noiseandvibration.Withhybridvehiclesandthenewformsoftrolleybus,BRTdesignershopetoincreaseridequalityanddecreasepollution.Astheenergyuseforaccelerationisproportionaltothevehiclemass,electrictractionallowslightervehicles,fasteraccelerationandenergythatcanbefedbackintobatteriesorthegridthroughregenerativebrakes.Regenerativebrakingisstandardonmanymodernrailsystems.

ABRTsystemcanusetrolley-busestolowergaseousandnoiseemissions.Thepricepenaltyofinstallingoverheadlinescouldbeoffsetbythesystem'senvironmentalbenefitspotentialforsavingsfromcentrallygeneratedelectricity,especiallyincitieswhereelectricityislessexpensivethanotherpowersources.Inaddition,mosttrolleybusapplicationscanbeconvertedtolightrailwiththeonlyextraexpensebeingthelayingandmaintenanceoftramtracksinthestreet.

Comparisonwithconventionalbusroutes

Thededicatedright-of-waylanesofBRTsystemsallowthemanincreasedaveragevehiclespeed,toprovidemorepassengermileswiththesamenumberofvehiclesandpersonnelthanconventionalbusservices.Asmootherridecanalsobeexpected,becausetheBRTisnotimmersedinstop-and-gotraffic.
