(1)  Onehourofseminarperweek.Sections1-2tobegradedonapassed/notpassedbasis.Sections3-4tobegradedonaletter-gradebasis.Sophomoreseminarsaredesignedforstudentsconsideringamajorinthesponsoringdepartment.Theyaresmall,interactivecoursesinwhichstudentswillencounteratopictypicalofthedisciplineandbecomeacquaintedwiththeapproachesandmethodsofscholarsinthatfield.Sophomoreseminarinstructorswillbecomefacultymentorsforthestudentsfromthetimetheydeclarethemajoruntilthetimetheygraduate.
