Whileitistruethatastudent'smostimportantgoalmustbetolearnandtodowellathisstudies,itdoesnotneedtobetheonlygoal.Infact,alifewhichconsistsofonlystudyisnotbalancedandmaycausethestudenttomissoutonothervaluablelearningexperiences.Inadditiontobringingmorebalancetoastudent'slife,part-timeworkcanbroadenhisrangeofexperience.Hewillhavetheopportunitytomeetpeoplefromallwalksoflifeandwillbefacedwithawidervarietyofproblemstosolve.Furthermore,workhelpsastudenttodevelopgreaterindependence,andearninghisownpocketmoneycanteachhimhowtohandlehisfinances.Finally,apart-timejobcanhelpastudenttodevelopagreatersenseofresponsibility,bothforhisownworkandforthatoftheteamheworkswith. 

Forallofthesereasons,Ifirmlybelievethatmoststudentswouldbenefitfromtakingapart-timejobwhiletheyareinhighschool.Ofcourse,theymustbecarefulnottoletittakeuptoomuchoftheirtimebecausestudyisstilltheirprimaryresponsibility.Insum,livingabalancedlifeisthebestwaytobesuccessful.
