However,theantsaresobusythattheyfailtospotadishonestfigure.ThereisaspidercalledtheSalticidspider,orthejumpingspider,astheyaresometimesreferredto,whichhasexcellenteyesightandisonlyactiveduringdaylight,weavingaprotectivecoveringofsilktospendthenightin.Interestingly,theSalticidspiderdoesnotlooklikeagreentreeant.Instead,itchemicallycopiesgreentreeants’smell.Effectivelypretendingtobeanant,itgoesintothegreentreeants’nest,entersthenurseryandfeastsontheirbabies.Greentreeantsdon’thavegoodeyesightandsmelleverythingwiththeirantennae（twolongthinpartsonanant’shead）.Therefore,theantsthinkthespiderisanotherantandignoreitspresencewithinthenest.
