1.Introduction

Boysandgirlsappearvariousbehaviors,abilitiesandcharacteristicsastheygrowup,andpeople’sviewsaboutthetwogendersinsomeaspectsaredifferentaswell.Thesedifferencesaremainlycausedbysexchromosomesandsometraditionalopinionsinthetowgenders,whichwasshapedgraduallywiththedevelopmentofoursociety.Wethinktheprejudicesbetweenmenandwomenareinteresting,andstudyingthisphenomenoncancreateachanceforustothinkcarefullyaboutthisproblemwhichexistseverywhereinourlifebutislikelytobeneglected.Wehopethatourstudycanhelptofurtherpeople’scomprehensiontothemselvesandtotheoppositegender.

2.Methods

Inordertofindouttheviewinmenandwomen’sprejudicesofcollegestudentswithdifferencesexes,wedecidedtoconductasurvey.Wedesignedaquestionnaire,whichconsistsof4aspectsrangingoverboysandgirls’opinionsoflove,marriage,studyandenterprise.Inthelibrary,classrooms,dininghallsanddormitories,wegaveout200questionnairestoCQU’sstudentsfromdifferentmajorsandgrades.Wegot200back.Ofthestudentswhoansweredourquestions,100areboysand100aregirls.Finally,weworkedoutthedataof30questionsandsummarizedandanalyzedtheanswertofindoutorgoclosertothefact.

Thequestionnairestartedwiththequestionthatwhatisthefirstthingstudentswillcareaboutwhenchoosingtheirlovers.Ingeneral,72%ofthestudentsplaceemphasisonfeeling,andthenumberofthestudentswhochoosethebackgroundoftheirboyfriendsorgirlfriends’familiesisquitesmall.Only9%oftheboyswhoansweredourquestionnaireemphasizetheirgirlfriends’ability.However,thereare35%ofthegirlschoosingtheabilityoftheirboyfriends.

Takingallthesefactorsintoconsideration,wenaturallycometotheconclusionthatstudentsinouruniversityareinnocent.Inotherwords,duringthisperiod,whattheytreasuremostwhentheyfallinloveisthepureloveandfeelingsbetweentheyandtheirsweethearts.Thecause,Ithink,isthattheburdenfromfinanceoncollegestudensarenotsoheavy.Frommypointofview,whatresultintheconsequenceofquestion2and3arethetraditionalopinionsinthetwogendersinoursociety.TypicalChinesefirmlyinsistthatgirlsshouldberestraind,andshowingtheiradorationtoboysinitiativelyisinproperly.Besides,manygirlsareshyduetotheirnature,thusitseemsunlikelyforthemtodolikethis.

Totellyouthetruth,theresultofthequestion4isoppositetowhatIpredicted.Beforethestudy,IthoughtbecauseofthemalechauvinismitmaybealittlehardforthemaleinChinatoaccepttheRebound.Butnow,Ithinkmaybemostoftheboysarelazy,andtheybelievethatgirlswhoareolderthanthemcanlookafterthemliketakingcareofbabies.Whenitcomestowhysomanygirlscareabouttheproblem,inmyopinion,girlsmaybelievethattheboyswhoareolderthanthemareabletoprotectthem.Namely,theycangetthesenseofsecurityfromthiskindofboys.What’smore,Chinesepeoplebelievethatthemenaresupposedtopayforthecostfordate,whichindicatestheprejudiceonthewomanandthemalechauvinismofthemeninChina.
