Arecoralreefs“theforgottenrainforestsofthesea”?

Allpeopleareagainstthedamagedonetotropicalrainforestsandtheirrichresources;

Whileeutrophcationisthemainhumandangertocoralreefs,tourismandfishingcontributes,too.Touristsnotonlyrequiremorelanddevelopment,butalsocoralreefsassouvenirs.Carelessscubadiversandsnorkelerscausebigdamagetoreef,sodofisherswhoignoredmarineecology.Insomepartsoftheworld,peoplefishbypouringpoisonontoreefs.Thepoisononlymakeslargefishunconsciousbutkillscorals.Evenifpoisonisnotused,thedisappearanceoflargefishendangersreefbecausethefishcaneatalgaeandhelpkeepthemundercontrol.
