投诉信：
表达写信人对某一情况不满。
所有投诉信的共同特点是最终要求收信人帮助解决问题。
如果题目设置了解决方案，考生一定要将它写进去；如果题目没有设置解决方案，考生就应当在信中给出自己的解决方案，而且所提出的解决方案应当是与投诉的内容相关，对某一点不满就针对某一点提出解决方案。
写作策略：
首段：
说明与收信人的相关性，表明写作意图，在尽可能的情况下做到客观礼貌，给读信人留下好印象，并且始终牢记读信人未必就是错误的责任人，他的合作对问题的解决至关重要。
主体段落：
写明投诉的原因，要展开说明，可以说具体的理由和由此带来的后果（现象结果说明法）。
这样展开就使信件的内容显得充实丰满，也符合正常的交际习惯。
结尾段：
提出解决方案，不需要展开，做到公正公平。
此段应该体现书信的礼貌原则，应当有类似的“如您能……，我将万分感谢”的话语。
这也是投诉信最能体现礼貌原则的地方。

对收信人提出请求，希望对方满足该要求，并且请对方给与答复。
请求信的核心是请求他人做某事的原因，重点写清楚为什么要请求他人做某事。
写作策略：
首段：
说明写作意图，要提出什么样的请求。
请求的手段既要礼貌，又要规范。
主体段落：
说明请求的原因，并具体展开，而且合乎情理。
结尾段：
表示希望对方回复，并在此处体现礼貌原则，常用套句：
“IamsorryforanyinconveniencesIhavecausedbythisletter.”、
到北京参加培训，租住在当地人家里。
回来后发现笔记本电脑掉在房主家里了。
3.询问信：
寻求所需信息
写作策略：
首段：
表明与收件人的相关性，再说写作意图，说明写信是为了询问什么样的信息，且只能就收件人能够提供的信息进行询问，不要“问道于盲”。
主体段落：
询问具体问题。
如果某个问题较为重要，应该单独占一段。
结尾段：
表明获取信息的急切心情，提供联系方式以便收信人与你联系，并对其表示感谢。

说明失物的具体内容以及失物的重要性。
结尾段：
说明如找到失物如何将其返还失主，并对收信人表达谢意。
