雪莱（1792年8月4日-1822年7月8日），生于英国萨塞克斯郡。
1816年往瑞士，与拜伦结为好友。
1822年与友人驾帆船出海，遇暴风，舟沉身亡。
作品包括长诗《仙后麦布》（QueenMab）、《阿多尼斯》（Adonais）等。
《西风颂》，全诗五节，每节的韵脚安排是：
aba，bcb，cdc，ded，ee。
