二、词法的差异

英语有性别、数、格、时、语态、语气、人称、比较级等，

一、英语被动句常常译成汉语主动句。

介绍的时候往往是连名带姓。

二、有时，英译汉中仍保留原来的被动形式。

1.Closecooperationhadbeenachievedalmostasalastresortinfaceofanimmediatethreattotheirsecurity,andonceenemywasdefeatedthedifferencesinpoliticaloutlookthathadbeentemporarilyoverlookedinevitablyreappeared.

密切合作是在他们的安全受到直接威胁的情况下差不多作为最后手段才取得的，一旦敌人被打败，那些暂时被忽略了的政治观点上的分歧不可避免地重新出现了。

2.Hehadbeenfiredforrefusingtoobeytheorderfromthedean.

他因拒绝服从院长的命令而被解雇了。

（使用了“被”字）

三、英语被动句译成汉语“把”字句。

1.Thetallbuildinghasbeenpracticallyleveledtothegroundbythebigfire.

大火几乎把这座高大建筑物夷为平地。

2.ThequestionofforciblediversionofcivilaircraftinflightwasconsideredbytheGeneralAssemblyoftheUnitedNationsasanimportantandurgentmatter.

关于迫使飞行中的民航飞机调转航向的问题，联合国大会是把它当作一项重要而紧迫的议题进行审议的。

四、当被动形式出现在英语不定式或分词或动名词短语中时，仍可酌情借用上述译法。

1.Theyprefertobeassignedheaviertasks.

他们喜欢挑重担。

2.Inthe1960s,therichandfamouscametoRometobewined,dinedandclothed

60年代，阔佬和名流到罗马来寻找吃喝穿。

3.Beinginvitedtodance,shewouldnotverywellrefuse.

有人请她跳舞，她不好意思拒绝。

4.IransaiditsairlinerexplodedafterbeinghitbytwoAmericanmissiles

伊朗说，伊朗客机被美国的两枚导弹击中后爆炸。

5.Thevirtueofamanoughttobemeasurednotbyhisextraordinaryexertions,butbyhiseveryconduct.

衡量一个人的品德不能看他一时格外努力，而要看他的日常行为。

五、当被动形式出现在长句中时，须根据上下文作灵活翻译。

（1）Allthewayalongtherailwayline,fromtheborderrightuptoBeijing,asfarastheeyecouldsee,thecountrysidewasliterallycoveredupwithagreencarpetofgrowingcrops,holdingapromiseofbumperharvest.

从边境乘火车直上北京，一路上极目四望，但见一片片农作物茁壮生长，仿佛绿色的地毯覆盖着整个田野乡间，到处是丰收在望的景象。

6．少数英语主动句，在译成汉语的“被动句

1．Theyallsuccumbedtotemptation.

他们都被诱惑征服了。

（2）Thejeweler’swasrobbedlastnight,andtheReegansareundersuspicion.

昨夜，珠宝行遭抢动，里根夫妇成了被怀疑的对象（或里根夫妇正在受到怀疑）。
