Universalgrammar,Chomskyassumesthatchildrenarebornwithalanguageacquisitiondevice(LAD).ThisLADismadeupofasetofgeneralprinciplescalleduniversalgrammar.Thesegeneralprinciplescanbeappliedtoallthelanguagesintheworld.,NoamChomsky(乔姆斯基),Theyear1957sawthepublicationofNoamChomskysbookSyntacticStructures,whichstartedarevolutioninthelinguisticworldandusheredinanewschool-thetransformationalgenerativelinguistics,Cook(1985)summarizingtheChomskyanposition,definesuniversalgrammarasthepropertiesinherentinthehumanmind.Universalgrammarconsistsofasetofgeneralprinciplesthatapplytoalllanguageratherthanasetofparticularrules.,Whyarethesepropertiesinherentinthehumanmind?
