,LiuyuanGarden（TheLingeringGarden）inSuzhou,BriefintroductionLocationFourpartsbuildings,BriefIntroduction,Occupyinganareaof23,300squaremeters（about5.8acres）,theLiuyuanGardenislocatedoutsideChangmenGateinSuzhou,JiangsuProvince.Originallyaclassicalprivategarden,itisoneofthefourmostfamousgardensinChina.ProcessingtypicalQingstyle,itiswell-knownfortheexquisitebeautyofitsmagnificenthalls,andthevarioussizes,shapes,andcolorsofthebuildings.In1997,thegardenwasrecordedonthelistoftheworldheritagebyUNESCO.,Thegardencangenerallybedividedintofourparts:

thecentral,eastern,westernandnorthernpartsaccordingtothestyleofthebuildings.Thecentralpartisregardedasthebestpartofthewholegarden.Theeasternpartisfamousforitsstrangelyshapedstones.Thewesternpartisthescenesofhills.Thenorthernpartusedtobeavegetablegarden,butnowisusedtoexhibitpottedplantsofwhichtheSuzhoupeoplearequiteproud.,Thecenterpart,Thewesternpart,Theeasternpart,Thenorthernpart,Withahistoryofmorethan400years,theLiuyuanGardenhaschangedhandsseveraltimes.Eachownerdidhisbesttoperfectthegarden.Itwasfirstbuiltin1593duringtheMingDynasty（1368-1644）byaretiredofficialnamedXuTai.DuringtheQingDynasty（1644-1911）,itwasboughtbyLiuShu.Asacalligraphylover,hecarvedmasterpiecesonbothsidesofthecorridorsofthebuildings.Hehadalsocollectedunusually-shapedstonesinthegarden.Thesucceedingownersfollowedhismodelwhendoingrestorationwork.Almostdemolishedinthe1930s,thegardenwasrepairedsponsoredbythegovernmentandthenopenedtothepublic.,这门厅正中屏门上嵌的一幅缀玉留园全景图。

这是一九八六年时，为纪念苏州古城建成2500周年，由扬州工匠用2500枚各类玉石薄片相缀而成的。

在全景图的上方高悬着一方扁额，上面写着“吴下名园”四个大字，点出了留园在苏州园林中的地位。
