AsaDeveloperAdvocate,youwillbeamemberoftheDeveloperRelationsorganization.DeveloperRelationsisfocusedondrivingthesuccessofGoogle'

sdeveloperproductsandtheopenwebbycreatingathrivingecosystemof3rdpartyapplicationsandbusinessesbuiltonthem.Youwillhaveastronginterestinournewesttechnologiesintheoutsideworld,aswellasavocaladvocatefordevelopers'

needswithinGoogle.Weexpectyoutobeanengineerwhothrivesonthecuttingedgeoftechnologyandlovesseeingexciting,newapplicationsandbusinessthatotherdevelopersarebuilding.YourjobistodrivemomentumforexcitingnewtechnologiessuchasChrome,Android,GoogleMapsAPI,HTML5,andAdsAPIs.Youwillworkwithsomeofourmoststrategicpartnerswhopushourtechnologytoitslimits--yourjobistomakethemsuccessfulastheybuildappsthatshowcasethepotentialofourAPIsanddeveloperproducts.YouwillbethepublicfaceofGooglerepresentingtheseproducts,speakingatconferences,onpanels,atusergroups,activelyblogging&

tweeting,andengagingwithdeveloperpressandbloggers.

Responsibilities:

∙CreatemomentumanddrivethesuccessofGoogle’sdeveloperproductsandtheopenwebthroughyourinteractionswith3rdpartydevelopersbuildingapplicationsandbusinessesonthem.

∙AdvocatetheadoptionofGoogledeveloperproductstostrategicpartnersandthebroaderdevelopercommunity.

∙Participateintechnicalanddesigndiscussionswithtechnicalexecutivesatstrategicpartnerstospeedadoptionandensurebestpracticesduringimplementation.

∙Evangelizeourdeveloperproductsinpersonandonlinebypresentingatconferences,blogging,writingtechnicaltutorials,andothersimilaractivities.

∙Advocatefordevelopersinternally,andinfluenceGoogledeveloperproductstrategybyworkingwithProductManagement,Engineering,PR,Marketing,BusinessDevelopment,andothercross-functionalteams.

Requirements:

∙BA/BSinComputerScienceorasimilartechnicaldegreepreferred.

∙Minimum4yearsexperienceasasoftwaredeveloper,architect,technologyevangelist,CTO,orconsultantworkingwithwebormobiletechnologies.

∙Excellentpublicspeakingskillsandcharisma,withexperiencepresentingtolargetechnicalaudiences.

∙Experiencebloggingandwritingtechnicalarticles,ideallywithanexistingfollowerbase.

∙Strongcommandofwebapplicationormobileapplicationdevelopmentlandscapes.
