Floraheardsomebodyshouting.ShelookedaroundandsawJeffrunning.Beforeshecouldmovesheheardalaudnoisewhichgrewtoaterribleroar.ShelookedatJeffwhowaswavinghisarms.Shelookedaroundbehindher.Thereshesawawallofwaterthatwasquicklyadvancingtowardsher.Shewassosurprisedthatshecouldn’tmove.Shewantedtowatchit.However,beforeshecouldthinktwicethewaterwasuponher.

“Run”Jeffshouted.Seizingherarm.

Thenextmoment,thefirstwavesweptherdown,swallowingthegarden.Jeffdraggedhertowardsthehouse.Everythingwentsofastshecouldn’tthink.Beforetheyreachedthehouse,anewgreatwavecame.Sweepingdowntreesandsweepingthemdowntoo.Theybothwentdownunderwater.

ThenJeffpulledherup.Hewasstanding,holdingontoatreethatgrewagainstthewall.Flora’sheadwasabovethewater,butshecouldn’tstandup.Shestruggledandstruggledbutcouldnotgetonherfeet.Onlyhishandwasholdingherhand.Shefoughtforherlifeandfinallypulledherselfup.Now,thewater,whichwascoldasiceandflowedfastthanariverwasaboveherknees.JeffandFloralookedintoeachother’sfacewithalookoffright.

“Thehouseisfallingdown”shoutedJeff“whereisthechimney,whichroomthechimneywillstand?

Jefflookedoutofthewindow.Below,thewatersweptpastthehouselikeawildriver.Treeaftertreewentdown,cutdownbythewaterwhichmusthavebeenthreemeter’sdeep.Thegardenthatwasoncesobeautifulwascompletelydestroyed,sweptawaybythewildwater.

Aterriblenoisewentthroughthehouse.Apartofthehousehadgonedownandthefloormovedupanddownundertheirfeet.Forsomemomentsbothweresilent.

“Thiswillstand.Thisherewillstand.See.Thatchimney!
