ThisreportaimstodescribeandcomparetheannualpercentageincreaseofthreetypesofindustriesinVietnam’sindustrialoutputoverthethreeyearperiodfrom2000to2002.

Thenon-stateindustryshowedthestrongestgrowthinindustrialoutput.Itstartedat18%in2000,reachingthepeakof22%inthenextyear.However,in2002,itfellgraduallyandstayedjustbelowitsoriginallevel.

Inspiteoftheslightfallin2001,theannualincreaseinindustrialoutputofforeign-investedindustryunderwentadramaticriseto18%,equalingtothelevelof2000fornon-stateindustry.

Incontrasttothehighpercentageofincreaseinindustrialoutputintheothertwosectors,thestate-ownedindustryexperiencedslightchangefrom2000to2002.Itsannualpercentagestartedatapproximate12%in2000,followedbyamarginalincreaseto13%.Itleveledoffin2002.

Thisreportaimstodescribetheaveragemonthlysalesofamagazineandchangesofthepercentageofpurchasesinthreedifferentageform2004to2007.

Averagemonthlysalesrosesharplyin2005from250,000copiesofthepreviousyearto380,000,followedbyafurtherincreasetoover40,000in2006.In2007,however,therewasadramaticdroptojust30,000.

Thepercentageofpurchasesinthreedifferentagerangesshowsamorecomplicatedchangingpattern.42%ofpurchasersaged25-50boughtthemagazinein2004,risingto46%in2007afteraslightdrop.

Thepercentageofpurchasersunder25experiencedasteadygrowthfrom18%to32%inthefirstthreeyearsdespiteaslightdropto30%in2007.

Incontrast,therewasageneraldownwardtrendinthepercentageofpurchasersover50.Itfellfrom39%to24%throughtheperiod.

ThisreportaimstodescribeandcomparethepassengerrevenueandpercentageoftrainsarrivingontimeinCruiselineforeachquarterduring2005to2006.

Thepassengerrevenueinthesecondquarterin2005enjoyedaslightrisefrom280millionpoundsinthefirstquarterto285millionpounds,whilethecorrespondingperiodin2006reachedtherecordof325millionpounds.Thethirdquarterin2005witnesseditspeakof300millionpoundsthroughouttheyear.However,thesameperiodin2006sufferedasharpfelltoabout225millionpound.

Thepercentageoftrainsarrivingontimeperformedsatisfactorilyin2005.Itstartedatapproximate87%inthefirsttwoquarters,whilethefiguresofthesameperiodin2006experiencedasteadydeclineto85%,equalingtothelevelofthethirdquarterin2005.Unfortunately,thethirdquarterin2006hititstroughbelow70%anditreveredto75%inthelastquarter.

Thisreportsetsouttodescribeandcomparethechangeofreliability,punctualityandcomplaintsinSupertrainsin12weeks,whichwasdividedfurtherintothreesub-periods:

Thescoreofreliabilityisencouraging.Itstartedat98%inthefirstfourweeks,reachingitsbestperformanceofafullpercentageandleveledoffthenexttwomonths.Incontrast,thefigureofpunctualitywasnotsosatisfactory,showingadownwardtrend.Itdeclinedsteadilyfrom95%inthefirstperiodto91%inthetwosubsequentperiods.

Numberofcomplaintsper100,000passengerjourneyshadreachedthelevelof200passengers,followedbyaslightdecreasetolessthan200inthefollowingmonth.However,thenumberofcomplaintsinthelastperiodrosesharplytoapproximate230.

Thesecondbiggestamountofturnoverwasachievedbydepartmentstores.Itstoodat50millionin2000butdroppedsharplyto35millionin2001anditdidn’trecoverthefollowingyear.

Foremployeesunder30,theyareleastlikelytobepromotedwithonlyonemaleandthreefemaleexecutives.Thesameistrueofemployeesover70withonlyfourmaleexecutives.

Incontrast,theemployeesaged30-60aremorelikelytobepromotedtobeexecutives.Intheagerange30-39,thereare39femaleexecutives,30morethanmales.Thenthegapisgreatlynarrowedintheagegroup40-49;butfortheagerange50-59,thegapiswideagainwithmalesfaroutnumbering/exceedingfemalesforthefirsttimeandthetotalnumberofexecutives(58)isthebiggestofallagegroups.After60yearsold,therearestillslightlyovertwiceasmanymakeexecutivesasfemales.

2.90%ofourstaffsreportthatinadequateairconditionersinthecanteen,whichmakethemfeeluncomfortableinthehotweather.

3.Feedbackfromtherespondentsalsoshowsthattoomanystaffeatingatthesameperiodofthetimeresultsinlongqueuesinthecanteen.Consequently,alotoftimeiswastedandourstaffsfeelboredandannoyed.

Recommendation

Itissuggestedthatthecompanycanteenbeexpandedsothatmorewindowsareopen,thusreducingthetimewastedinthelongqueue.Alternatively,itisadvisabletoextendtheopeninghours,whichenablestheemployeestousethecanteenatdifferenttimes.Furthermore,thefirst-classcooksshouldberecruitedtopreparefoodwhichistastyandhealthyforourstaff.

Introduction

Thisreportaimstopointoutthenecessaryofthetrainingprogram,evaluatetheeffectivenessandmakerecommendationsastowhatimprovementcanbemadeforthefuturetraining.

Findings

1.wehaveorganizedthelanguageandcommunicationtrainingprogramforthestafffromMarketingandPublicRelations,whichaimsatbuildingupourstaff’sabilitytoexpressthemselvesconfidentlyandaccurately.Thecourse,BusinessCommunicationintheGlobalWorkforce,isdevotedtopersuasion:

persuadingclientstobuyproductsorservices,acceptourprice,acceptourtermsetc.

2.ThecoursecoversactivitiesthetraineescandotodeveloptheirpowersofpersuasioninEnglish,bothwhenspeakingandwhenwriting.

3.Thefeedbackfromthetraineesindicatesthattwo-daytrainingcourseleftthemlittletimetocommunicatewitheachotherbecausemostofthetimewascommittedtolisteningtothelecturer.

Recommendations

Itisrecommendedthatsimilartrainingsessionsinthefuturebeextendedtofourorfivedayssothattherewillbemoreinteractionbetweenthetrainerandtraineesaswellasamongthetraineesthemselves.Furthermore,trainingprogramswouldbemoreproductiveifthetraineescanfocusonthetrainingcoursewithoutbeingdisturbedbybusinesscallsfromtheirmanagers.
