对于was,did,went这三个过去式，要和其他动词的过去式一并讲解。
动词的过去式可分为三类：
be动词的过去式，规则动词的过去式，不规则动词的过去式。
这节课可着重讲解规则动词和be动词的过去式。
不规则动词的过去式可放在后面讲。
规则动词的过去式有以下四种构成方式：
一、一般情况下在动词词尾加ed,如：
played,called,needed,wanted
二、词尾是e的动词加d。
如：
三、以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节单词，应双写这个辅音字母加ed。
如：
四、以辅音字母y加结尾的动词，先将y变成i，再加ed。
动词be的过去式是：
am/is--was。
are---were.主语是I,he,she,it以及相当于第三人称单数的动词，谓语动词用was；如果主语是you,they,we以及复数名词，谓语动词一律用were。
在讲构成方式的同时讲解动词过去式的发音。
