清朝末年,曾国藩与太平军作战时总打败仗,有一次向咸丰皇帝乞求增援,上的折子中有一句是“臣军屡战屡北(败)”,师爷马家鼎看了后,提意见说,“屡战屡北”词意颓唐,不妨易为“屡北屡战”。
朝廷看到奏章后,认为曾国藩虽然连遭失败,但仍坚持战斗,其忠心可嘉,不仅没有严议,反而予以重用。

以“so...that”引导的结果状语从句可以转换成不定式的简单句,即可转换为“...enoughto...”或“...too...to”句型.
