Manyofthesurfaceswetouchonadailybasisharborandcanspreadgerms.Butairtravelisknowntoacceleratetheworldwidespreadofdiseases.

"Thepresenceofbacteriaintheenvironmentofanairporthasnotbeeninvestigatedpreviously,''saidNiinaIkonen,whowasinvolvedinthestudy.Sheaddedthattheresultsprovidednewideasfortechnicalimprovementsinairportdesignandrefurbishment(翻新).
