1.Background

Astimegoeson,theInternethasbecomeanindispensablepartofourlife.ThenetworklanguageisproducedwiththeInternetanditalsobecomesmoreandmorepopularamongthepeople.Accordingtothesurvey,thescaleofusingInternetinChinaisthesecondoneintheworld.DuetothelargepopulationofChina,thenationalstandardsoflivingisenhanced.DuetotheincreaseoftheNetizen,theinfluenceofInternetexistsinallaspectsofourdailylife.Thenetworkreflectsanewtendencythatrepresentsthecitizenryandtheliberalizationoflanguage,whichexperiencestheprocessfromproducedtodeveloped.Tooverwhelmwithalargenumberofthenewnetworklanguages,itisnotonlytheenergeticperformanceoflanguagebutalsothevigorperformanceoflanguagesituation（thatissociallife）.

Internetisanewmediumforlanguage,whichcausethechangeoflanguagestyle.However,languagestyleisanewenvironmentalversionoflanguageanditalsoproducesanewlanguagestyleoftheInternetaswell.Since1994,Chinalaunchedthe"Internet"plan.After10years,thepopulationofsurfingtheInternethasarapidincreasewhichbuiltaspecialnetworkcommunicationgroup.

Thenetworkcommunicationhasitsownparticularity:

onetheonehand,peoplecanacquirethefreecommunicationfromtheInternetwhichtheycannotenjoytheirdailycommunication.Inthisvirtualworld,everyonecangetridofhisrealisticmask.Thatmeansyourexpressionwillgainthemostfurtherrespectwithoutyouridentity,yourbackgroundandevenyourname.

Everyoneinthisvirtualworldhashisequalspeakingrightwhichmakespeoplespeakintheirownwill.Somebodycallsit,"NetworkDemocracy".Itisbecauseofthespecializationthatcanshowusaappropriatespaceofthecharacteristicpersonality.Andfromthiscommunication,somedifferentanduniqueexpressionpatternsarecreated.Onetheotherhand,therearesomelimitsofequipmentsandtimeetc.inInternetcommunication.Thus,peoplehavetochangetheirpatternsofdailylanguagesothattheycanfindanotherwaytocommunicateintheInternet.ThenetworklanguageisnotonlyaproductofInternetbutalsotheresultoflanguageworkinginnetworkcommunication.Forthosemenwhoareunfamiliarwithnetworklanguage,therearelotsofproblemsthatareallkindsofexpression,randomnesswordsandsomeargot.However,fromanotherperspective,thisistheadvantageofInternetcommunication.Anditisthenewfeatureforpeoplewholiveinafreshregionandfreshphenomenonaswell.

2.Thecause

Althoughtherearemanycontroversiesaboutthenetworklanguage；scholarsstillgetaconsensusonthecausesofthenetworklanguage.Networklanguageisnotonlyalanguagephenomenon,butalsoaphenomenonofthetimes,societyandcultural.What'smore,theformationofthenetworklanguagehasadeeprelationshipwiththetimes,societyandcultural.Theresearchershaveanalyzedthesubjectiveandobjectivereasonsfortheexistenceofnetworklanguage.

Firstofall,China'sInterneteraprovidesafundamentalmaterialforthenetworklanguage.TheInternetwasthemostexcitingthinginthe20thcentury,andunderthatsituation,theInternetwasstillmysterious.SincetheInternetenteredChinain1989,thenumberofInternetusersinChinaincreased.Atthebeginning,peoplecouldnotexpresswhattheywantedtosayinasimplewaywhentheyfirsttouchedthecomputers.theInternetuserscreatedaruleofnetworklanguagethatgraduallybecamemature.AfteralotofInternetusersusenetworklanguageinawiderange,itformeditsownlanguagefeaturesinthelater.

Secondly,thenetworkprovidesthebestenvironmentfornetworkcommunication.PeopleuseChinesecharacters,maths,symbols,letterstoenjoythecombination,transformationofwords.Evenpeopleusethehomophonic,strangewords,typo,andotherwordstoplaythelanguagegame.Incontrasttothereal-world,theonlineworlddonothaveanycomplexrulesinwhichpeoplecanforgettheirtrueidentities,justliketheirage,gender,occupationandthefeelingofpersonalinjury.Inthevirtualworld,peoplecangetridoftherealityandbeafreepersonality.AndontheInternet,peoplecaneasilyshowtheircharacterwhichismorerelaxedandnatural.Andthatisthebestenvironmentofusingnetworklanguage.ItcanbesurethenetworkgivesthemaximumfreedomofInternetusers,sothattheycancreatesomanydistinctivecharacteristicsnetworklanguageformintheonlineworld.

Thirdly,China'sreformandopening-upprovidesasocialbackgroundfortheemergenceofnetworklanguage.Itbroughtaboutpoliticaldemocracy,economicprosperity,culturalexchangeactivitiesandeventhenewthings,newideas.AllthesearecreatedbyNetizen.Networklanguagehasaprominentfeaturewhichitsunconventional.Ifthesocialenvironmentistoomuchrelaxing,howcouldInternetuserstoopentheirideasandtocreateallkindsofnetworklanguage?

Atfourth,thegeneralpromotionofculturalqualityprovidesaguaranteefornetworklanguage.Thenetworklanguagemainlyappearsinthenetworkforum,thenetworkmessageboard,thechatroom.Anditislimitedtothespecificcondition.Atthesametime,itrequiresthecommunicationwhomustknowhowtousethecomputerandtheInternetandsomeEnglish.Andallofthosepointoutthegroupwhichisthemoderngenerationwhoselevelofcultureisovermediumcanusethenetworklanguage.Whentheseyoungpeoplecomparedtotheirfathers,theypromotedtheirculturalqualitiesandthisistheguaranteeforproducingofthenetworklanguage.

Atfifth,itisabouttheeconomicfactor.WhentheInternethasbecamepopular,thecostoftheInternetistoomuchhigh.Andthefeeiscalculatedwiththetime.Therefore,itisalargefinancialburdenforsurfingtheInternetforalongtime.Inordertosaymorewordsinalimitedtime,manyInternetuserschangesomepartsoftheChineseandEnglishphrasesorsentencestocreateallkindsofsimpleformsofexpression.

Atsixth,itisabouttherestrictionofInputMethod.BecauseoftheparticularityofChinesecharacters,theChinesecharactersInputoncomputerisnotassimpleasEnglish.ThemajorityofInternetusersapplyPinyinInputMethodbecauseofthere-coderateishigh.Intheprocessofnetworkcommunication,itisdifficulttofindthewords.BecausetheInternetusersdonothavethepatiencetotypetheexactwords;andthentheychoosealargenumberofhomophonewordstosubstitute.Andforthosewords,theywereacknowledgedbyalloftheInternetusers.

3.Theexistingforproblems

Thenetworklanguageisthemostsignificantachievements,butitcameupwithsomeproblemsaswell.

Atfirst,theresultofresearchthatisrarelyattractionforthestudyofnetworkcommunication.Themainpartoflanguageisinitscommunicativefunction.Whenalanguagelackthecommunicativefunction,itwillbeauselesslanguage.Whatifitcannotadapttothedevelopmentandprogressofthetimes.Althoughtherearesomesporadicexpositionsofnetworkcommunication,thediscourseofnetworkforcommunicationsubject,process,purpose,environment,etc.isnotthoroughandsystematic.
