Globalization,aworldwideconcept,isgettinginvolvedintoallaspectsofourlife.Itisseenasameansofcreatingwealththatbenefitsnationsandindividualsallovertheworld.

Inmyopinion,itisobiviousthatglobalizationmakesalotcontributiontoeliminatingthepoverty.TakeChinaforexample,sinceChinasuccessfullyseekedthemembershipofWTO,therapidtradeexpansionandeconomicgrowthsharplycutthenumberofthedesperatelepoor.AccordingtoasuveryofWorldBank,thoseinthepoorandbackwardreigonofChina,withincomeof1dollarorlessadaydroppedto15percentfrom27percentofthepopulation.However,therestillaresomeexpertswhoquestiontherealadvantageofglobalization.Becausetheyregardglobalizationastheevilpowe,whichenlargethegapbetweenthepoorandtherich.Althoughtheproblempolarizationbetweentherichandthepoorbecomingmoreandmoreseriousrecently,wecannotblameglobalizationforit.Themixtureofmanyfactorscausedtheproblem,notjustglobalization.Andthecontributionofglobalizationissogreatthatweshouldshowourgratitdetoit,especiallyourdevelopingcountries.

Notonlythenations,butalsotheindividualsshouldtakeadvantageofglobalization.Withthedevelopingofglobalization,theconnectionbetweennationsismoreandmoreclose,sodoestheindividuals.Moreandmorepeoplechoosetotravelabroadtofeelthecharmofdifferentsocitiesandcultures.Iamtheonewhoagreewiththisideafromthebottomofmyheart.AfterenteringintotheWTO,theatmosphereofChina’ssocietyisbecomingmoreopenthanbefore.Newculturesandnewconcepts,whichsparkledyoungpeople’smindsgreatly,arebroughtintomainlandofChina.Likemanyotheryoungpeople,myownmethodsofthinkingbecomesmorecritical,whichmakememutureandcomplete.Weknowmanyotherdifferentnewideasthankstoglobalization.

Althoughglobalizationdoessomanygoodtonotonlynations,butindividuals,itisstillanimmenselycontroversialprocessthatassaultsnationalsovereignty,erodeslocalcultureandtraditions,andthreatenseconomicandsocialinstablity.Soinaword,globalizationisadouble—edgedsword.Whatweshoulddoistryorbesttotakeadvantgeofitandavoidtoworsentheseproblems.

Tothetermglobalization,Ithink,itisaconceptoftheconnectionsandconstraintsamongthecountriesanddistrictsacrosstheglobeincludingpolitics,economy,culture,technology,military,lifestyle,ideology,etc.Theassociationsandcommunicationsamongthemwillalsobringgreatimpactonthem.Formypart,Ithinkitishardtojudgethatglobalizationisgoodorevil.Firstofall,theadvantagesglobalizationleadsareobvious.Ipad,ipodandotherhigh-techproductsmadeinAmericaaredarlingschasedbyalargenumberofChinesepeople.WefavorcamerasmadeinJapanthanmadeinChina.Besidesthese,Chinaisaproducingareaofmanyworld-famousbrands,forexample,DisneybuiltitsfactoryinGuangzhou,becausethelaborsaremuchcheaperthanthoseinAmerica.Fromglobalization,wecanmakefulluseofthelocalresourcesandreducecosts.Ontheotherhand,thedisadvantagescannotbeneglected.Becauseofglobalization,manylocalfolkcustomsarevanishedbytheimpactsofforeignculture.Althoughthecultureshockisdiminished,whatisourpurposeofvisitingdifferentplacefromourown?

So,tothematterglobalizationmakestheworldbetterorworse,itdepends.

Sincethelate20thcentury,withthecoldwarended,"globalization",especiallythe"economicglobalization"becomethemostfashionabletopics.Hasseenandheard,someeconomistsaddthink,economicglobalizationisagoodthing,itcanmakeusmorerich,canliveagooddayscantravelaroundtheworldtoenjoylife.But,inadditiontomanyeconomistsareskeptical.Theypointoutthatifeconomicglobalisationisreallygood,thatwhyinternationaleconomystillinsuchamess?

Onthedomesticandforeigntheoristsandthechatteringclasseslaunchedfiercetothisproblem,thispaperdiscussedtheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofeconomicglobalizationarebrieflytoanalyze,andstudyofparticipatingintheprocessofeconomicglobalization,weshouldtakethecorrespondingcountermeasures.Ithink,theunderstandingoftheeconomicglobalizationfromproductivitymovementanddevelopmentshouldbetheAngle,economicglobalizationisahistoricalprocess:

ononehandworldwidecountries,regionaleconomicmutuallyintertwined,andmutualinfluence,blendingintounifiedwhole,namelyform"globaluniformmarket";Ontheotherhandworldwideestablishedtheglobalrulesregulatingeconomicbehavior,and,onthisbasis,establishedtheglobaleconomicoperationmechanism.Inthisprocess,themarketeconomyunifythewholecountry,worldwideproductionfactorinthefreeflowandoptimizedallocation.Thereforesaid,economicglobalizationmeansacrossborders,factorsofproductionintheglobalscopefreeflow,thecountriesandregionsmergedintothewholeprocessinhistory.Economicglobalizationisahistoricalcategory,notneversome,butwiththeappearanceoftheworldmarketappeared.Therefore,thefundamentalpremiseistheeconomicglobalization,theformationofglobalunitybigmarket.Intheglobalmarketsegmentationcases,bilateraleconomicexchangesandtradeliberalizationisnotequaltotheeconomicglobalization.Onlydivisionbetweencountriesinextensiveformedonthebasisoftheworldmarket,justmeanfundamentallydestroyedtheisolatedbetweencountries,thuseventuallyformthedevelopmentconditionoftheextensive,deepworldeconomiccontact.Anycountriesandregions,onceintotheworldeconomy,areboundtobefromtheworldmarketbythevariousinfluences.Since1980s,especiallyinthe1990s,astheSovietunionandeasternEuroperepresentedinChina,changethesocialiststateinsocialismbasicsystempremiseofdeepeningthereformofmarketeconomyintoorbit,andthetraditionalplannedeconomygraduallydisappear,themarketeconomyunifythewholecountry,marketcompetitionandmarketeconomicprofitbehaviorbrokethecountriesandregionsintheworldofrestriction,nationaleconomyincreasinglycouplingintoonewholeglobaleconomy.Meanwhile,astheeconomicintegrationorganizationformofregionaleconomicgroupalsodeveloprapidly.Totheendof1996,theworldhasmorethan100regionaleconomicgroup,almostmadeacleansweepofallcountries.IncludingtheEuropeanUnion,thenorthAmericanfreetradeareaandapechasbecomethesubjectofworldeconomy,itsareathreeextremelyrealizedbyeconomicandtotalimportandexportvolumeoftheworld,thetotalofallthe80%.Butinrecentyears,regionalgroupandteam,butalsotheirmutualinfiltrationandconstantlyregionalmarketboundaryconstantlyextendsoutwardandmutualcommunity,greatlypromotesthefusionofeconomieswiththedevelopmentofglobalization,formingahugemarketeconomyoperationsystem.Inthissystem,thecooperationbetweencountrieswithintheobstacles,decreaseenhancepermeabilityanddependentrelationshipamongcountriesatdifferentlevelsonworldmarketstosharethefreeflowofproductionfactorsoptimumallocationofresourcesandrealizethebenefitsof,alsobeartheeconomicintegrationmayrisk.Withthedeepeningofinternationaldivisionofeconomicexpansion,withoutborders,economiesculturealsobrokethroughstateandnationalboundaries,fromtheopposition,collision,towardstheinfiltrationandfusion.WesternindividualismforthecenterwiththeenterprisecultureabsorbOrientalcultureofharmonious,theteamspirit,andOrientalcountryenterprisealsoblendedinwesterncultureencouragecompetition,encourageselfvaluerealizationcomponents.
