中国七夕节和西方情人节对比

摘要每年七月初七,是中国的传统节日七夕节。

七夕节不仅历史悠久,而且有着深厚的文化内涵。

因为此节源于我国四大民间爱情传说之一的牛郎织女故事,又因为跟爱情有关,所以又被称为中国的情人节。

但是,由于种种原因,七夕节却越来越不受重视,反而是西方的情人节在中国越来越普及。

本文对七夕节和情人节的由来和习俗进行了介绍,对七夕节和情人节的影响进行对比分析,对七夕节不够繁盛而西方情人节却很盛行的原因进行研究分析,最后总结出这一主题的研究对中国文化传承的启示。

本文的目的是把七夕节跟情人节进行对比分析,找出七夕节不受重视的原因,并找出情人节受欢迎的原因,最后得出启示。

政府应该对传统节日积极干预,提高经济实力,还有加强对下一代传统文化的教育。

只有政府和人民一起合作,才能把中国传统节日发扬下去。

AbstractLunarJuly7everyyear,isChina’straditionalfestivalDouble-seventhDay.Double-seventhDaynotonlyhasalonghistory,butalsohasdeepculturalconnotation.Becausethis festivaloriginatedfrom oneofthefour Chinese folk love legendsoftheCowherdandtheWeaverGirlstories,andabout love,soitisalsoknownas China’s Valentine’sday. However, duetovariousreasons,Double-seventh Dayhas less attention, but theValentine’sDayisbecomingmoreand morepopularin China.Thispaperistointroducetheoriginandcustoms of Double-seventh DayandValentine’sday,compare andanalyzetheeffectsofthe Double-seventh Day andValentine’sday,researchandanalyzethereasonswhyDouble-seventh Day isnot prosperousand whyValentine’sDay isvery popular, finallysummarizetheenlightenmentoftheresearchofthetopic:

1Introduction

Sincethereformandopeningup,followingtheeconomicglobalization,theChineseandwesternculturealsoconstantlyblend.Withthedevelopmentofeconomicglobalizationandinformationglobalization,peopleseemtobemoreinterestedinthewesternfestival. Moreover,moreandmorewesternfestivalshavegraduallyevolvedintoaglobalholiday. LikeValentine'sday,notonlyourcountryhasmanyyoungpeopleloveit,butalsotheworld'syoungpeoplewillcelebratethearrivalofValentine'sday. There'snothingwrongtocelebratethearrivalofValentine'sday. Afterall,someofthefestivalsabroadcanserveasausefulsupplementtoourcultural.However,withtheinfluxofmoreandmorewesternfestivals,Double-seventh Dayhas less attention. So,manypeopleadvocatetopromotetheChinesepeople'sownfestival,somanyChinesecallDouble-seventh DayistheChineseValentine'sday.IstheDouble-seventh DayreallyValentine'sday?

Double-seventh Day always connectedto thelegendoftheCowherdandthegirlweaver, thisisaverybeautiful, eternal lovestory,andbecomesoneofthefour folk love Chineselegends.

Longlongago,therewasa verysmartand honestfellow wholivedinNiuJiaZhuangofNanyangwest.Hisparentsdiedearly,sohelivedwithhisbrother andsister-in-law.TheSister-in-lawMarkovwascruel.ShealwaysabusedCowherd, forcedhimto doalotofwork.Ayearinthefall, sister-in-law forcedhim tothecattle, gavehim ninecows, butlethimgohomeuntil tencows.Thecowboy reluctantlyleaved thevillage.

TheCowherd camealone intothemountain with thecattle, in adenseforest onthemountain. Hesatunderthetreeand feltsad. Hedidnotknowhowtohavetencows.Atthismoment, awhitehairandbeard oldman appearedinfrontofhim.Heaskedhimwhyhewasso sad. Cowherdtoldhimhistroubles.Afterlearningthat, theoldmansmiledtohim andsaid:

 “don’tbesad.Thereisan ill cow in FuniuMountains.Youcangoto feed itanddrive ithomeafterthecowrecoveries.Hewentalongway, andfinallyfound thesickcow.Hesawthecowwasveryill.Hewenttothecow, calledbundlesofgrassand feed for threedays.Whenthecowwasfull, heraisedhishead andtoldhim:

itistheCattleDaisengray.Becauseitviolatedtheregulations,itwasdemoted,andnowitslegsbroken, unabletomove.Itswoundsneedflowersdewtowashamonth.Cowherdwasnotafraidofhardwork, carefultotakecareof thecow foramonthuntiltheoldcow recovered.Cowherdhappily drove ten cattlebackhome.

Afterreturninghome, hissister-in-lawwasstillnotgoodforhim, anddid alittle harmtohim.Thecowmanagedto rescue. Hissister-in-lawfinallybecomeshameandputhimoutofthehouse.Thecowherdsaidnothingbutonlytookthecow.

Oneday, Weaverandtheotherfairies descendtotheworldgame, andbathedintheriver.TheCowherdand Weaver met withthehelpoftheoldcow. Theyfellinlove, andthenWeaverstolefromheaven,cametoearth, andmarriedtothecowherd.Weaveralso cecropinminutesfromtheskytoeveryone, andtaughteveryonehowto sericiculture, spinning, weaving andlightandbrightsilksandsatins.

Afterthemarriageofthecowboyandtheweaver, themantillingthefarmandwomanweaving,profoundfriendship, they gavebirthto aboyandagirl.Onefamily livedahappylife. However, goodtimedidn'tlastlong.Thisthing soon let heavenknow, WangMuNiangNiang personally to forcibly Weaverbacktoheaven.Thehusbandandwifeseparated. Thecowherd isaperson, hecannotgotoheaventofindweaver.Atthistime,theoldcowtoldthecowherdthat after itdies, hecan put thecow leather tomakeshoes, andthenwearit togotoheaven. Accordingtotheoldcow’s words, cowherdworeleathershoesand pulledtheir children, fliedto chaseweaver. Whenhewould catchupwith Weaver, WangMuNiangNiang wavedhis Empressouther figure.AroughMilkyWay appeared, andthecowboyandtheweaverweredividedintwosides.Theyonlyrelatively cry. Theirloyaltylovetouched magpies. Thousandsof magpies areflying; builtthe bridge, letthe Cowherdandtheweavergirl meetagainonthe magpiebridge. WangMu empress felthelpless,so hadtopromisethem to meetinthe magpiebridge onJuly7theveryyear.

2.2OriginofValentine’sDay

LegendofthethirdCenturyad, ancientRome, atyrantwascalled Claudius. Notfarfromthetyrant’spalace, therewasaverybeautifultemple. Friar Valentine livedhere.TheRomans  admiredhimverymuch, menandwomen,oldandyoung, whetherrichorpoor, alwaysclustered aroundinhim, in theragingflamebefore thealtar, listenedto theprayerofValentine.

Inthisera ofancientRome, thewarhasbeen withoutstop, tyrantClaudiusrecruitedalargenumber ofcitizenstothebattlefield, inordertoensurethe people loyaltothewar, heordered inthis marriageban people, even peoplewhohavebeenengaged immediatelytothedissolutionofmarriage. Manyyoungpeoplefarewelltolove, fullofanger towardsthebattlefield.

Valentine feelverysorrytoClaudius’sbehavior. Whenapairoflovers cametothetemple torequestforhelp, Valentine heldaweddingceremonyquietlyfortheminthesacredaltar.People spreadfrommouthtomouth. Alotofpeoplecamehere, marriedwiththehelpofValentine.Thenewsfinally reachedClaudius’sears. He stampedwithrage, orderedthesoldiersstormingintothetemple, takingValentinea
