Informationflowisthekeyfactorinsupplychainmanagement.Generalinformationflowoftenisincustomerandsupplydepartmentorders,inventorymanagement,delivery,deliveryanddistributionproducedbysuchprocess.Inthepast,thisinformationflowisconfinedtotheestablishmentinthemanualandsemiautomaticbasis,resultinginalowefficiency,informationnotreliabilityenhancement,aswellasinformationtomisleadandleadstothepredictionthattheimprecision,therebyincreasingtheinventory,transportation,returnsandothercosts,reducecustomersatisfaction.

Withtheformationofglobaleconomicintegration,thecompetitionbetweenenterpriseandenterprisebreaksthroughthecountryandareaisbecomingmoreandmorefierce,atthesametimetheconsumerdemandisdiverse,personalizeddirection.Enterprisesshouldmaketheadvantagepositioninthecompetition,mustchangethetraditionalinformationsystem,theuseofadvancedinformationtechnology,supplychainoptimizationandreorganization,realizesthesupplychaininformationsharingoneachnode,therebyshorteningtheleadtime,reduceinventorylevels,improvethehandlingandtransportefficiency,reducedeliverytime,improvetheorderanddeliveryaccuracyaswellastheanswertothecustomeravarietyofinformationsuchastarget,improvethecompetitionofthewholesupplychain.Thedevelopmentofinformationtechnologyandcontinuouslyreducecosts,sothattheobjectivesofsupplychainmanagementbecomepossible.Manycompanieshavewithcustomersandsuppliersarecomputerandcomputerlinks,throughmultimediatechnology,timely,accuratetransmissionofimage,soundandtextandotherinformation,iseasyfordataaccess,soastoimprovetheoperationofsupplychainandcustomersatisfaction.

Acomprehensivesystemoflogisticstechnologydevelopmentdirection.Whichtransportationisdevelopinginthedirectionofdiversification,high-speed,large-scaleandspecializedinenergysaving,environmentalprotection,andputforwardmorestrictrequirements.Modernwarehousingideafromstaticmanagementtodynamicmanagement,modernwarehousehasbecomethepromotionofthelinkequilibriumrunningofdistributioncenter,warehousestructurerepresentativeofthechangeishighlyautomatedstorageandhandlingarecombinedintoawholetopshelfsystem,shelfcanbeupto30to40metershigh,pricesofgoodsupto200000~300000,usethecomputercentralizedcontrol;automaticstorage,usedforinspectionandinventorymanagementofhigh-speedautomaticsortingsystem（Automated-Sorting-System）andautomaticstorageandretrievalsystem（ASRS-automated-storage-and-retrieval-systems）isreducedbecauseofthelargehumaninterventionwhichledtothewarehousemanagementmistakes.Becauseofthecomplexityofthetransportation,handlingtechniqueandthecorrespondingequipmentshowsdiversification,AGV（automated-guided-vehicles,usuallytranslatedasautomaticguidedvehicles）,LGV（1aser-guided-vehicles,usuallytranslatedaslaserguidedvehicle）,AHV（autonomous-handling-vehicle,usuallytranslatedasintelligenttransportationvehicles）,andtherobotmanipulatoralsostartedinthisfieldgetapplication.Newpackagingmaterialsoflighterweight,bettermechanicalperformance,qualitymorestable,cheaperprices.

Inlogisticsactivities,inordertoquickly,accuratelyidentifycommodity,automaticallyreadtherelevantcommodityinformation,barcodetechnologyiswidelyused.Thebarcodeisagroupofdigitstorepresenttheinformationofcommodity,iscurrentlyontheinternationallogisticsmanagementinacommonlyusedtechnicalmeans.Barcodetechnologytoimprovetheefficiencyofinventorymanagementisverysignificant,istherealizationofinventorymanagementofelectronictechniqueisanimportantmeans,canmaketheenterprisetotheinventorycontrolextendstovendors,inventorysupplychainnetworkcontrol.

（1）barcodeforcommodity.Commoditybarcodeisbasedondirectsalestoconsumersofthegoodsastheobject,withasinglecommodityforunitsusingabarcode,isEAN（European-Article-Number）,UPC（Universal-Product-Code）series.Theyareprintedinalength4cm,width2.5cmrectangularbox,whichhasunequalthickness,blackandwhiteverticalbar,verticalbaratthebottomin13digits,thefirstthreedigitsrepresentthecountryorareacode,EANwillhave690,691,692assignedtoChinagoodscodingcenter,thenthe4numberindicatesthemanufacturercode,followedby5digitstorepresentthevarietyofgoodscode,thelast1digitsareusedtopreventthemisreadingthemachineerror.

（2）logisticsbarcode.Logisticsbarcodeisintheprocessoflogisticsasacommoditytothecollectionobjectpackagedgoodsforunitsusingbarcode.Standardlogisticsbarcodeconsistsof14digits,inadditiontofirstdigitsexcept13digitsrepresentingthemeanandthesamecommoditybarcode.Thebarcodeisrelatedtotheproductionofmanufacturers,wholesalers,retailers,transportationindustryandothereconomicmainbodyoforderingandreceivingorders,sales,transportation,storage,warehousinginspectionactivitiessuchasinformationsource.Duetotheeventsoccurringtimecanbeautomaticallyreadinformation,soastofacilitatethetimelycapturetheconsumerneeds,improvesaleseffectiveness,butalsoconducivetoimprovingtheefficiencyoflogisticssystem.
