Allnewemployeesarerequiredtocompleteatrainingcourseonthesafetyproceduresineffectatourvarioussites.Successfulcompletionofthiscourseisarequirementforobtainingpermanentemploymentstatusatthiscompany.Thetrainingcoursemustbecompletedbyeachemployeebeforetheendofhis/hersix-monthprobationary(试用)period.Thiscourseisindividualizedandself-contained;consequently,youmaytakeitatanytime.ItisavailableintheLearningResourceCenter,locatednexttothecafeteria.Thecenterisopenfrom7A.M.to9P.M.,makingitconvenienttoworkonthecoursebeforeorafteryournormalworkshiftorduringyourlunchhour.

ThetrainingcoursecombinestheuseofacomputerandinteractiveCD-ROMs.Youwillbeabletolearnatyourownpace.Completionofthecoursetakesapproximately12to15hours.Uponcompletionyouwillberequiredtoassessthecourseusingtheassessmenttool.Acomputerprintoutwillprovideyouwithimmediateresults.Anyonewithascoreoflessthan75percentwillberequiredtorepeatthecourse.IfyouareunfamiliarwiththeuseoftheLearningResourceCenterequipmentorsoftware,staffareavailabletoassistyou.
