ABSTRACT

Thispaperdiscussesthehistoryofthedevelopmentofmanagementinformationsystems,andmanagementinformationsystemrole,functionandstructuremodel.Outlinesthemanagementinformationsystemontheimpactandimportanceofsocialenterprisesanddevelopmentprocess.Simpleanalysisofthefuturetrendofdevelopment,andmanagementinformationsystemsofmanagementinformationsystemsareincreasinglytransformingourworkandlifestyle.

1Introduction

1.1ManagementInformationSystemIntroduction

ManagementInformationSystemsManagementInformationSystemMIS（ManagementInformationSystemsreferredtoMISisanevolvingnewdisciplinestheMISdefinitionareconstantlyupdatedwiththeprogressofcomputertechnologyandcommunicationtechnology,atthisstagegenerallyconsideredbyhumanandcomputerequipmentorotherinformationprocessingmeansandusedformanagementinformationsystem.

Fiveaspectsofthemanagementinformationbytheinformationacquisition,informationtransmission,informationstorage,informationprocessing,informationmaintenanceanduseoftheinformation.SoundmanagementinformationsystemMIShasthefollowingfourcriteria:

determinetheinformationneedsofinformationcanbecollectedandcanbeprocessedbytheprogramprovidesmanagerswithinformation,informationmanagement.DatabasewithunifiedplanningMISimportantsignofmaturity,itsymbolizestheManagementInformationSystemMISsoftwareengineeringproductmanagementinformationsystemMISisacross-discipline,partof:

computerscience（networkcommunications,database,computerlanguage）,mathematics（statistics,operationsresearch,linearprogramming,management,simulation）andothersubjects.Informationisaveryimportantresourceinthemanagement,thesuccessorfailureofmanagementdependsontheabilitytomakeeffectivedecisions,thecorrectdecisiondependslargelyonthequalityofinformationtoo.Sowhethertheeffectivemanagementofinformationhasbecomethemostimportantissue,managementinformationsystemMISincreasinglygainedpopularityinthemodernsociety,stressmanagement,emphasisoninformation.Managementinformationsysteminthemodernizationofmanagementplaysgiveenoughlightweight.Notonlyisitaneffectivewaytomodernizemanagement,atthesametime,alsocontributedtotheprocessofmodernizationofenterprisemanagement.

1.2ManagementInformationSystemOverview

20thcentury,withtherapiddevelopmentoftheglobaleconomy,manyeconomistshaveproposedanewtheoryofmanagement.Inthe1950s,Simonaskedthemanagementreliesontheideaofinformationanddecision-making.ThesameperiodWienercybernetics,hethinksmanagementisaprocess.In1958,Gailwrote:

"managementatalowercosttogettimelyandaccurateinformation,andtoachievebettercontrolofthisperiod,thecomputerbeginsforaccounting,dataprocessingterm.

1970,WalterT.Kennevan,thetermmanagementinformationsystemtojustunderadefinition:

"oralorwrittenform,attherighttimetothemanager,staffandoutsidepersonnelpast,present,andpredictthefutureinformationabouttheenterpriseanditsenvironment,inordertohelpthemmakedecisions."thisdefinitionemphasizestheuseofinformationtosupportdecision-making,butdidnotemphasizetheapplicationmodel,nomentionofcomputerapplications.

In1985,thefounderofthemanagementinformationsystem,theUniversityofMinnesotaprofessorofmanagementatGordonB.Davistothemanagementinformationsystemwithamorecompletedefinitionof"managementinformationsystemisacomputerhardwareandsoftwareresources,manualwork,analysis,plancontrolanddecision-makingmodelanddatabaseman-machinesystemcanprovideinformationtosupporttheoperationandmanagementofthebusinessororganizationanddecision-makingfunctions."thisdefinitionisacomprehensivedescriptionoftheobjectivesofthemanagementinformationsystem,functionsandcomposition,butalsoreflectsthemanagementinformationsysteminthelevelreachedatthetime.

Managementinformationsystemwasinitiallyappliedtothemostbasicwork,suchasprintstatements,calculationofwages,personnelmanagement,andfurtherthedevelopmentofcorporatefinancialmanagement,inventorymanagement,andindividualbusinessmanagement,whichisasystemofelectronicdataprocessing（EDPElectronicDateProcessing）.Whentheestablishmentoftheenterprisedatabase,acomputernetworksoastoachievedatasharing,thedeparturefromthesystempointofview,theimplementationoftheglobalplanninganddesignofsysteminformation,reachedthestageofthemanagementinformationsystem.Withtheadvancesincomputertechnologyandpeopletofurtherimprovethesystemrequirements,agreateremphasisonmanagementinformationsystemscansupportthedecision-makingofthisfeatureofthecorporateseniorleadership,ismorefocusedonthecollectionofinformationoutsidetheenterprise,integrateddatabase,modelbase,methodlibraryandotherartificialintelligencebasedontheabilityforpolicymakers,whichisthetaskofthedecisionsupportsystem（DSS,DecisionSupportsystem）.Endofthe1970s,asmallnumberofcompaniesbegantotopicalapplicationofMIS,atpresent,Chinahasbecomequitecommon,itsscopeofapplicationcoveringalmosteveryindustryandsector,withawiderangeoffuturedevelopment.

1.3Managementinformation

1.3.1Managementinformationisaveryimportantresource

Forbusinesses,people,materials,energy,capital,informationimportantresources.People,materials,energy,capital,thesearevisibletangibleresources,andinformationisanintangibleresources.Peoplepaymoreattentiontangibleresources,accesstotheinformationsocietyandknowledgeeconomyera,informationresourcesisbecomingincreasinglyimportant.Becauseinformationresourcesdeterminehowtomakemoreeffectiveuseofmaterialresources.Informationresourcesisthecrystallizationofknowledgederivedfromthestruggleofhumanbeingsandnature,masterofinformationresources,youcanmakebetteruseofphysicalresources,thephysicalresourcestomaximizethebenefit.
