ThroughoutEurope,thedistributionofourproductsfromourplantisdonebytrucks.Itisourendeavortoguaranteeoursoleagentsdeliveryofthegoodswithinoneweek,whichobviouslysometimesisquiteadauntinglogisticalchallenge.

Duetorecentproblemswithourpresenttransportcompany,wearelookingforanewreliablepartnertoworkwith.SinceweintendtoexpandourexportactivitiestoEasternEuropecountriesaswell,weseekacompanythatisabletograduallyincreasecapacityduringthenextfewyears.Furthermore,oneofourutmostcriteriaisflexibilityapartfromreliability.Pleaseletusknowif,inprinciple,youareinterestedinsuchalong-termcooperation.

Proposalforrelocating

Purpose:

Theaimofthisproposalistooutlinethereasonsforrelocatingourofficestodifferentpremisesoutsidethecity.

Italsodescribesthepremiseswewouldrequireandshowstheimpactsoftherelocationonourstaffandonthecompany’sbusiness.

Reasonsforrelocating:

Themainreasonthathastobepointedout,isthefactthattherentforofficespacesinthecitycenterhasbeenrisingconstantlyoverthelastfiveyearsandjustwon’tgoinlinewithourbudgetplansforthefuture.What’smore,asweconsidertorecruitmorestaff,thereisnotenoughofficespaceavailableinthecitycenter.

Descriptionofpremisesthatwillberequired:

Ournewofficespacesshouldbereachablecomfortablybypublictransportation.

Themaintarget,Isuggestisthatwebringallemployeesfromthethreesmallofficesinthecitytogetherononefloor.Sowe’llhavetolookforideallyawholebuilding,whereitisalsopossibleforustohaveenoughofficespaceforournewhiredemployeesinfuture.

Whatisalsorequiredisacanteen,asourstaffwillnothavethepossibilitytogoforlunchinthecitybecauseofthelongerdistance.

Possibleimpactonstaff:

ForsomeofouremployeesitmightbeaproblemasIknowthattheyliveinthecitywiththeirfamilyandreallyenjoyedtheirshortwaytheoffice.

Butapositiveaspectwouldbethatifallemployeesworkinthesamebuildingitwillstrengthentheirteamspiritandgivesthemtheopportunitytoknoweachotherbetter,whichwasnotpossiblebefore.

Isuggestthatweagreeonrelocatingourbusiness,proceedinfindingappropriatelocationsandtakefurtherstepssuchasinformingourclientsandstaff.

ReportonPhotocopierCosts

Thebarchartgivesinformationonthepurchasecost,thewarrantycost,therunningcostsforthreedifferentphotocopiers,Carda,KD,Sebu.

Asisshowninthechart,thepurchasepriceofCardaisthelowestamongthethreetypesofphotocopiers.Itisslightlymorethan$600,butitsexpectedrunningcostforthefirsttwoyearsisthehighest,withitswarrantycostatthemid-levelamongthethreephotocopiers.

Incomparison,thepurchasepriceofKDis$700,whichisalittlemorethanthatofCarda,whereasitsexpectedrunningcost($900)ismuchlessthanthatofCarda($1200).However,KD’swarrantycostisthehighestamongthethree,at$200.Bycomparison,Sebu’spurchasepriceisthehighestofthethree,i.e.$1000,butitcostsconsumerstheleastinwarrantyandrunningforthefirsttwoyears.Inotherwords,theexpectedtotalcostofCardaforinitial2-yearperiodis$1900,morethanthatofbothKDandSebu($1800).

Inconclusion,itwouldbeadvisabletobuyKDphotocopier,whichimposesalighterinitialfinancialburdenonconsumersbecauseofitslowerpurchasecostcomparedwithSebu.

ReportontheProfitandAverageSharePriceofTXVEnergy

ThebarchartshowsthechangesinprofitmadebyTXVEnergyduringafive-yearperiod.Inthefirstthreeyears,thecompanymademuchlessprofit,with75milliondollarsforthefirstandthethirdyear,respectively,with50milliondollarsforthesecondyear.Butitturnsouttobeasharplydifferentpictureforthelasttwoyears,with250milliondollarsforthefourthyearandwith275milliondollarsforthefifthyear.

Thelinegraphshowsthatthecompany’saveragesharepricealsouderwentfluctuationssimilartothoseofthecompany’sprofit.Thelowestsharepriceoccurredinthesecondyear,at1dollarpershare,andthehighestpriceoccurredinthelasttwoyears,at7dollarspershare.

Overall,thereisaclearpositivecorrelationbetweenthetrendoftheprofitandthatoftheaverageshareprice.

Thisreportgivesaverbaldescription(interpretation)ofthegraphicinformationfromthechartaboutthenumberofcustomersmakingreservationsinresponsetodifferentadvertisingmethodsforStarlightHotelsfrom2008to2010.

Asisshowninthebarchart,thereservationsinresponsetomailshotskeptdecliningoverthethreeyears.Therewereabout70,000bookingsin2008,yetthenumberslumpedto50,000inthefollowingyear.Moreover,itcontinuedtodropto40,000attheendof2010.Bycontrast,reservationsgeneratedbyonlineadvertisementsmaintainedanupwardtrendoverthesameperiod.Thenumberjumpedto100,000in2009upfrom80,000ofthepreviousyear.Anditsoaredtoarecordof120,000in2010.

Differently,thereservationsinresponsetonewspaperadvertisementsexperiencedafluctuationduringthe36months.Therewere80,000reservationsin2008,andthebookingsroseto90,000inthefollowingyearthenfellto80,000attheendof2010,exactlythesameasthatof2008.

ReportonTurnoverandProfit

Thetwochartsgiveinformationabouttheturnoverandprofitoftwogeographicalregionsofamultinationalcompanyoverathree-yearperiod,i.e.from2009to2011.

Asisshowninthefirstchart,theturnoverofNorthAmericaexperiencedafluctuationoverthethree-yearperiod.With140milliondollarsin2009and100in2010,theturnoverin2011recoveredtoahigherlevelof160.Overthesameperiod,theprofitshowedadifferenttrend.In2009theprofitwas20milliondollars.Yetinthefollowingtwo-yearperiod,theprofitrosetoandremainedatahigherlevelof40.

Differently,theturnoverandprofitofAsiamaintainedasteadyupwardtrendoverthesameperiod.In2009the20-million-dollarturnovergeneratedaprofitof10milliondollars.Thoughin2010theturnoverjumpedto80,theprofitthusgeneratedwasstillthesameasthatofthepreviousyear.However,theyear2011witnessedasharpincreaseintermsofbothturnoverandprofit.

Overall,thechartsshowthattheoperationinAsiawasmoreprofitableforthemultinationalcompany.

ReportonPercentageGrowthinVehicleSales

ThechartgivesinformationonthepercentagegrowthinvehiclesalesofaUK

vehiclemanufacturingcompanyoverafour-yearperiod.

Asisshowninthecharttheyear2009sawgrowthinvehiclesalesonlyinthesectionsofdomesticcarsalesandexportcarsales.Whilethegrowthofdomesticcarsalesin2010slumpedtothelevelof2008andregainedin2011thesamelevelasthatof2009,thegrowthofexportcarsalesremainedthesameasthatof2009in2010and2011.Meanwhile,thegrowthofdomesticsalesofcommercialcarsshowedasteadyincreasefrom2009onwardandreachedahighlevelof6%in2011.

Differently,thegrowthofexportsalesofcommercialcarsexperiencedadeclinebetweentheyear2009and2010,whichwentdownfrom4%to3%,andremainedatthelevelof3%in2011.

Itisindicatedinthechartthattheoverallperformanceofthecompanyhasbeenimprovedslightly,withanaveragegrowthrateof3.75%in2011,signifyinga0.75percentagepointincreaseon2008.

MarketingToday

Attendeeswereinterestedinthismeetinginsimilardegree.Thenumberofparticipantswereover80intwogroups.Thestrongestgroupwerepeoplefromsmallcompanies(100attendees).

Aswecanseefromthebarchart,themostpopularconferencewas“MarketingToday”withthehighestnumberofparticipants.
