No One Can Be Perfect

　　goodmorning,ladiesandgentlemen.todayiwanttotellyouastoryaboutoneofmyfriends,alovelyandsmartgirlwhoisalwaysreadytohelpothers.beingourgradeleader,sheisgoodatbothworkandstudy.inmanypeople'sopinion,sheisexcellentandperfect.butonedayshetoldmeshewasgloomyandinsecure.peoplearoundherconsideredheroutstandingandflawless,thinkingshecouldhandleeverything.butthemoreshethoughtaboutherself,themoredisappointedshebecame.shefoundthatshewasfarfromperfection.lastweek,shedidn’tdowellinherfrenchquiz,andthedaybeforeyesterday,shewaslateforaconference.shefeltdepressedandfrustrated,becauseshefailedtobeaperfectgirlwithoutanymistakes.

　　iwassurprisedtohearthatforithoughtshehadeveryreasontobeconfident.however,theexpectationofperfectionhasbecomeaburdentoher.itoldhernoonecouldbeperfectandisuggestedshefindherownposition.

　　infact,peoplearesoeagertobeperfectthattheydemandtoomuchofthemselves.theywanttobespecialandunique,andtheywanttohavenodefectsorweaknesses.however,wecanneveravoidmistakesanderrors.it’simpossibleforustobeasupermanorasuperwoman.nomatterhowsuccessfulweare,therearealwayssomeflaws.ifweholdthateverythingshouldbeperfect,wewouldbeovercritical.

　　女士们、先生们，大家早上好!

今天我想给大家讲一个我朋友的故事。

她是一个聪明可爱、乐于助人的女孩。

作为我们的年级长，她无论工作还是学习都很出色。

在很多人眼里，她是如此优秀，近乎完美了。

但有一天她却告诉我，她很迷惘和自卑：

周围的人都认为她很优秀，完美无缺，可以对付任何事情;而她想得越多对自己就越是失望。

她发觉自己远不够完美。

上周她的法语测验考得不理想;前天，一个会议她又迟到了：

很多事情做的不尽完美，这让她很是灰心丧气。

　　听到这些的时候我很惊讶，我原以为她有充分的理由对自己充满信心。

然而，对完美的期望却变成了她的负担。

我告诉她，没有人可以完美无缺的，她应该找到自己真正的位置。

　　实际上，人们有时过于追求完美而且期望的太多了。

我们想要特别，想要独一无二;又想要没有缺点没有弱点。

可是，人是无法避免错误的,有谁能成为超人呢?

无论你多么成功，总是有一些事情不够完美。

如果我们坚持要完美无缺，那只能是一种求全责备。

　　我的朋友现在已经改变了她的态度。

她承认自己的不完美，但是保持着乐观的心态。

她没有停止追求，反而变得更为积极。

我想这正是我们应该有的态度。
