ABSTRACT

AllofJohnMilton’sgreatworks.ParadiseLostisthemostcomplicatedandmostprofoundone,whichwinshimendlesshonor.ThispoemisderivedfromtheBible,Sataninparadiselostisthemostinfluentialfigures,however,heisoneofthemostcontroversialcharactersinparadiselost,Thisworkisbasedontwostories,SatanwentagainstGodandlureEveandAdamtoeatforbiddenfruit,Miltoncreatesitagain,heattractedtheattentionsofmanycritics.DifferentpeoplehavedifferentideasforSatan’simageandhavenotyetagreed.ThisarticlewillfurtheranalysisSatan'sdoubleimage,firstofall,fromtheperspectiveofheroes,andthenanalyzethedevilimageofSatan,finallydiscussestheformationofdoubleimagesofSatan,andcontradiction,basedonthehistoricalbackgroundandauthor’sexperienceandlife,letauthorhaveanewideaforSatan,infact,Satanisnotonlyadevilbutalsoaherowithcombateffectiveness.
