   Hisunbelievableworkdidnotgounnoticed.Stephensoldhisfirstpaintingfor$1,620(£1,150)atageseven,andwasinvitedbytheBritishPrimeMinistertocreateadrawingoftheSalisburyCathedralatageeight.Fiveyearslater,hisfirstbookofartcameoutinLondon!

In2006,tohonorhissignificantcontributiontotheartworld,StephenwaspresentedwithanMemberoftheOrderoftheBritishEmpire(MBE)byPrinceCharles.

Scientistsdivided16volunteersintotwogroups.Onegroupdelayedtheirtypicalbreakfasttimeby90minutesandthenatetheirdinner90minutesearlierthantheynormallymight.Thisshortenedtheireating“window”bythreehours.Theothergroupateattheirnormalhours.Regularly,theresearcherstestedthevolunteers’blood,checkingtheirbloodsugarandcholesterollevels.Thevolunteerskeptcarefuldietdiariesandcompletedafeedbackquestionnaireattheendofthestudy.

Aftertenweeks,thefirstgrouphadlost,onaverage,morethantwiceasmuchbodyfatasthesecond.Afteranalyzingthedietdiaries,theresearchersfoundthattheTRFgrouphadsimplyeatenless.Infact,57percentofthefirstgroupnotedontheirquestionnairesthatthey'deatenless;theysaidtheirappetitesweren'tasstrongandtheyhadfeweropportunitiestoeat.Plus,theyremovenighttimesnacking.

Whilethisstudycan’tfinallylinklowerbodyfattotheTRFschedule,itmakescleartheadvantagesoflimitingpeople’seatingtime.Theresearcherswillrepeattheresearchwithbiggergroupsandforawiderangeofagesandconditions.TheyfindthatTRFisnotalwayswell-matchedwithfamilyandsocialduty.Sometimeslife'sdemandsnecessarilygetintheway.
